The Mission of MECAA is to promote the merit shop philosophy, encourage the free enterprise system, create and exchange industry knowledge to advance professional development, and improve the business climate for merit elevator contractors.

To enable MECAA to achieve its mission, the Association has as its goals the identification, communication, promotion, management and evaluation of specific programs directed by or otherwise set forth in policy statements adopted by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
